All my previous ones left streaks or bits of food etc. Not this Samsung, every thing, with just a simple rinse before going in, comes out spotless and high class restaurant clean. It also does the cleaning quietly, really quietly, like “is it actually on?” quietly. Lots of cycles and options but very simple to operate and the build quality is top notch. It feels solid and sturdy. It also has some great unique features, I especially like the top rack, the one I didn’t realize was there at first but once i found it I have been using all the time. I have never seen a rack like this in any other dishwasher but after using now, I couldn’t stand not having it. It’s a flatish, shallow tray right at the top of the dishwasher where I can place fragile and odd shaped items. Chopsticks for example, they used to get blocked or broken in the cutlery racks in typical dishwashers. In this rack they are held secure and washed perfectly. ceramic soup spoons, stirrers and other fragile items all sit happily in there and come out squeaky clean. We have just remodeled our kitchen and the sleek styling looks perfect. We really like the fact there is no sticking out handle as my wife is a little clumsy and always catches her leg or hip on those. Lastly the markproof finish keeps the dishwasher looking clean and hygienic. “[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife’s been awfully frustrated with our now-prior dishwasher. From the noise to the consistently water stained or outright dirty dishes from not enough ‘pre-washing’ that is the normal ritual for so many doing dishes. Naturally that skepticism and can creep into the idea of any replacement – wow were our expectations shattered. First there was the install. The instructions were very clear and once I adapted our non-standard water lines we were able to easily use the provided parts to get the washer installed with no problems. Having never worked much with pipes/water I was very surprised at how easy it was to get it connected, leveled, and setup. On form, features and function. Stormwash allows us to put emphasis on those tricky or hard to clean dishes, while the flat top rack makes dealing with cutlery and other large utensils a breeze. The top full rack can be adjusted to allow for better clearance either above or below it, it’s hard to overstate the flexibility this provides as your load it up and find you could use a little more space here or there. A half-dozen washes in, these features have changed how we wash dishes forever. Conclusion It’s unreal how reliably clean our dishes are now. The unit quietly doing it’s job and then literally popping open to let off a little steam feels almost like a magic trick. Magic really is underselling it, as each load results in a sparkling clean interior and squeaky clean dishes. We can’t recommend this enough and my wife couldn’t be happier.”

“[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical that this dishwasher was going to be as good as it sounded, but after several weeks it’s living up to the advertisements. The area we live in the water has high mineral content and in the past with other high end brand dishwashers, we might as well have hand-washed because the dishwasher wasn’t doing anything to clean them. I’m happy to say that the Viking FDWU524 has suprassed all my expectations and does a fantastic job of cleaning the dishes. No residue, stink, or dirty basin when cycle is over. It holds a fair amount and has a nifty little top rack that is nice for your larger utensils. The machine is soooo quiet too!!! You barely notice it’s on and have to really listen. The top view display is really nice too, and helps prevent kids from needing to hit all the buttons. I’d definitely recommend this dishwasher!”

Auto Release Stopped Working
“very happy with the dishwasher, except for the fact that after 6 months, the auto release stopped working. i have set & reset the setting, cleaned off the door, etc, but still not opening.”
